NC-1,Tarheel Chapter of the Women Marines Association is a
non-profit organization. Our mission is to promote the history
of women Marines, support our Marines, conduct programs for
charitable and educational purposes.

is a 377-page book which includes stories about our
trailblazers, history and two DVDs with hundreds of pictures.
This book according to the "Marines Magazine" underlines the
significant obstacles women in the Marine Corps have
encountered and overcome, and the achievements that have
secured their place in the most feared fighting force known to
the world. Each chapter highlights a particular "era" since
women were first allowed to enlist. Also, the chapters list
facts, names and other information about the women in the
Corps. Completely inspiring, it assures us that no matter
what obstacle we may encounter, it won't break us, but make us
